The annual report for the second year of the framwork agreement was submitted on October 30, 2020. The major results highlighted in the Statement on Report are the following: In total during the current framework agreement Plan has implemented projects in 18 different countries. During the second year of the framework agreement between Sida and Plan, a total of 238 443 people were reached through Plan's interventions in 9 different countries. The results are systematically disaggregated by gender and age. - 20 553 infants and young children 0 - 4y (10 737 girls and 9816 boys)- 120 331 children 5-17y (61 881 girls and 58 450 boys)- 85 559 adults 18-49y (47 657 female and 37 902 male)- 12 000 elderly people >50 y (6768 female and 5232 male) The majority (124 371) was reached through activities related to Child Protection in Emergencies (CPiE). In general, more beneficiaries than targeted have been reached. Most beneficiaries were targeted through activities within CPiE, followed by in-kind support and WASH. More women and girls than men and boys were targeted in WASH interventions since one major component focused on menstrual hygien. In contrast to previous years, only cash transfers were used instead of cash transfers in combination with vouchers. A few examples of key results presented in the report are: In the Central African Republic, the community-based child protection mechanisms that were set up during the first year were strengthened through trainings and revised action plans. Children who participated in the RECOPE and Adolescent Clubs increased their knowledge in themes as SGBV and child rights which was proved through tests before and after the trainings. Additionally, community members (9623) were reached buy sensitization activities on protection risks as recruitment and use of children by armed groups, early and forced marriage and SGBV. A total of 28 671 children and young people participated in psychosocial activities in child friendly spaces. In Nigeria, 846 children at risk of- and survivors of GBV were provided with specialized case management services and 8163 persons were provided with psychosocial support through Child Friendly Spaces and Women and Girls Safe Spaces. In Bangladesh, an RRM intervention was implemented which provided 2600 households affected by the flooding with cash assistance. The families also participated in awareness raising sessions on child protection, SGBV, food security and good parenting. The development of the Adolescent Programming Toolkit was completed and published in June 2020 (instead of April 2020 as planned) as a result of several studies, local consultations and good practices. This is Plan's first-ever global programmatic framework for working with adolescents in crisis settings. For further reflections on the results, see the Statement on Report. The framework agreement with Plan International Sweden was concluded in 2020, but extended with two years to ensure a good phase-out period.
