Resultat
With the support of the Swedish cooperation, UN Women has achieved high level results that have created impacts as described below: a) New instruments of knowledge and analysis Internal normative to address gender equality has been developed in the electoral body, the executive branch, and the Indigenous Autonomies (IA). Authorities of the Electoral body and Executive branch have strengthened their capacities to promote the formulation of public policies and develop internal normative to advance on the guarantee of women's rights, particularly political rights, and the promotion of a culture of peace. This process has generated knowledge and has developed conditions to positioning women's rights and the Women, Peace and Security agenda on the public agenda. This achievement has been reached through the technical assistance provided by UN Women and the generation of several support instruments such as: A guide for reporting violence and political harassment against women. A Country Diagnostic that systematizes the recommendations of the main international mechanisms for the protection of human rights as a tool for members of Plurinational Assembly to follow up all the commitments Bolivia has made on human rights. An Early Warning System to identify conflict risks from a gender perspective has been developed and fed regularly. First National Survey on the situation of people with diverse sexual orientation and gender identity. Promoting data collection on violence against LGBTIQ populations: Recognizing the lack of robust data, UN Women has undertaken efforts to document the specific forms and prevalence of violence experienced by LGBTIQ individuals. A study on urban mobility for women in capital and intermediate cities: Recognizing the link between violence and limited mobility, UN Women has advocated for safe and accessible public transportation infrastructure, particularly in urban areas. Guidelines for the implementation of the joint models in coordination with the Vice minister of Equal Opportunities and ACOBOL. A study on harassment in the police aimed to have evidence for the approval of the Police Harassment Protocol. Indigenous autonomies normative analysis. Instruments of knowledge and analysis of governance from a gender perspective have been developed and applied, increasing the number of authorities of the Plurinational Government and the Indigenous Autonomies that incorporate the gender equality agenda in their management and leadership.
The project aims to "Strengthening women's rights in Bolivia in the framework of the 2030 Agenda from a gender perspective" has been designed by the UN Women Country Office in Bolivia with three components: 1) strengthening the knowledge and awareness of elected national authorities on the women's rights agenda 2) improving the access of women, especially rural and indigenous women, to productive resources and income 3) eradicating violence against women and girls through prevention strategies and actions.
