Results Achieved Since the Beginning of Phase II of the PSSDU: 1.Implementation of 200 MOSAFA in Montero The project is being carried out by the implementing partner. • Demand Generation: Socializing the projects in peri-urban neighborhoods of Montero. The General Objective of the second phase is to achieve: Scalability of the Decentralized Sustainable Sanitation at the national level and establish financial mechanisms that allow families to access a decentralized sanitation solution. Specific objectives: - Consolidation* of the decentralized sustainable urban sanitation scalability model and its most relevant components: governance, adoption and behaviour change, climate resilience, and circular economy. - Replicability of the decentralized sustainable urban and rural sanitation model in at least three new municipalities. - Maximize the leverage of economic resources destined to scale the decentralized sustainable sanitation - Involvement of the financial sector in the implementation of an innovative financial mechanisms for the implementation of the decentralized sustainable sanitation model. *Consolidation shall mean (a) the formal adoption of the model by municipal authorities and service providers; (b) allocation of own budgets by GAMs and families; (c) appropriate use of services, including improvement of Hygiene practices/Menstrual Hygiene Management practices; and d) Payment of fees
