The key output of the preparatory phase was a project proposal. To develop the project proposal, this preparatory phase included: - an LFA workshop (which resulted in an LFA report presenting the outcome of the discussions carried out, annexed to the Narrative report). - a workshop to jointly specify the actual activities for the work plan Furthermore, as part of the preparatory project a number of interim activities were carried out to ensure continuity in training and to maintain relationships among stakeholders. These activities contributed to preserve the progress achieved in crime prevention and police reform efforts. During this project period, one activity within the component Leadership was carried out, one activity in Dialogue police training and finally support to and evaluation of the preventive approach of the police service that was included in the previous project. The results achieved in this preparatory phase laid the groundwork for continued police reform and capacity-building efforts, which is a a priority in the new cooperation project.

The objective of this contribution is for the Swedish Police Agency (SPA) to identify areas for possible continued cooperation with the Colombian Police Agency (CNP), and to develop a project application to be submitted to the Embassy. The Embassy in Bogotá has supported cooperation between SPA and CNP since 2013, through 2 different project phases (phase 1 2013-2017 and phase 2 2018-2023). Identification of cooperation areas for a third phase will take place in close cooperation with the Colombian Police Agency. Furthermore, so called bridging activities will be financed for activities that SPA carries out together with CNP on site in Colombia.
