Ukraina: Stöd för kraft, el och värmeproduktion, Energy Community

The overall objective of the project of the construction of the CHP plant is to ensure the stable and reliable functioning of Ukraines energy system, particularly in regions severely affected by the ongoing war. By providing uninterrupted electricity and heating services, the project will support critical infrastructure, such as health care facilities, schools, and public utilities, ensuring the continued operation of essential services like water supply and sanitation. Stable energy supply is essential for the well-being of the population and the resilience of the countrys economy and public services during both the conflict and the post-war recovery period. The specific objective of the Swedish support to the fund with this project is to provide financial and technical support for the procurement of two gas turbines essential for the first phase of construction and operation of the CHP plant, ensuring that it can deliver stable, reliable electricity. When complemented with the combined cycle in phase two of the project, the plants combined heat and power capabilities will enhance energy efficiency by utilizing the waste heat from electricity generation to provide both industrial process- and district heating, thus maximizing resource utilization and minimizing emissions.
